The College is delighted to announce it is now open for entries into its 2024 photography competition.

This competition is open to everyone, except for professional photographers.

We are looking for entries in two categories: first, on the subject of Queen’s Now and second, on the subject of Perception (this category will permit the optional use of generative AI tools to create, or creatively enhance, images submitted).

Please feel free to interpret the categories as you wish, but for College members and staff, photos for Queen’s Now might include beautiful views or quirky details in College, images of pieces of work you have produced while at Queen’s, or photographs of any Queen’s-related activities (sport, bops, gaudies, music, etc.); for others it might be a shot of the College from the High Street or Queen’s Lane, or even the air. Those seeking inspiration for the Perception category might like to check out the current exhibition in the Upper Library.

Prizes of £100, £50 and £25 will be awarded for the top three photos in both categories, as decided by our judging panel in the New Year.

You can enter up to five photographs (in total, not per category), by the closing date of 31 December 2024.
