Tony Abbott is the 28th Prime Minister of Australia, serving from 2013 to 2015, when his government repealed a carbon tax, stopped a wave of illegal migration by boat, and finalised trade deals with Australia’s biggest economic partners. Prior to that he was a minister in the Howard government, including Leader of the House of Representatives from 2002 to 2007, and an MP from 1994 to 2019.

After graduating in Economics and Law from the University of Sydney, he attended the College as a Rhodes Scholar from 1981 to 1983, took an MA in Politics and Philosophy, and won two blues as a boxer. These days he’s a Visiting Fellow at two think tanks and serves on the board of the FOX Corporation.
